H-1B FY 2027 Update

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has officially completed the FY 2027 H-1B initial registration selection process. USCIS received a sufficient number of registrations to meet the annual H-1B cap, including the advanced degree (master’s) cap. Selected beneficiaries have now been notified and are eligible to proceed with filing their H-1B cap-subject petitions.

Key Highlights:
Petition filing begins April 1, 2026
Filing window will be at least 90 days
Only selected registrations are eligible to file
Petitioners must include the selection notice with the filing
USCIS will accept only the latest edition of Form I-129 (02/27/26)

This marks a critical next step for employers and beneficiaries navigating the H-1B process. Attention to detail in documentation and timelines will be essential moving forward.

Wishing all selected candidates the very best as they proceed with their filings!
